French hot chocolate à l’américaine
I often made this kind of hot chocolate (designated as French in an American cookbook) for the kids' birthdays.

ml
whipping cream

dark chocolate
250
ml
milk

tsp
Kahlúa
marshmallows
Instructions
Bring the whipping cream to a boil, remove from the heat and whisk in the chocolate, broken into pieces. Whisk it well.
Now add the milk and return to the heat until warm but not boiling.
Add Kahlúa, pour into small cups and top with marshmallows.
Notes
Especially the marshmallow bit doesn’t strike me as being particularly French, but it was lovely!
