Ann's Pork Chops in Orange Sauce
This dish was often on the menu when Phyllis was a kid.

pork chops
300
ml
orange juice
½
tsp
ground ginger
1
tbsp
oil
2
tbsp
brown sugar
salt & pepper
to taste
1
orange
sliced
watercress for garnish
Instructions
Heat the oil in a pan and brown the pork chops on both sides.
Remove the chops from the pan and drain off any surplus oil.
Return the chops to the pan. Add the orange juice, brown sugar, and ground ginger. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Cover the pan and let the chops simmer for 25 minutes, turning them once or twice during cooking.
Uncover the pan and adjust the seasoning if needed.
Arrange the pork chops on a serving dish. Pour over the sauce and garnish each chop with slices of orange and watercress.
