Jeera Aloo
A lovely potato dish that's particularly good with Favourite Curry.

Ingredients
500
g
potatoes
boiled and peeled
2
tbsp
oil or ghee

tsp
cumin seeds
1
tsp
mustard seeds
optional
1
green chilli
finely chopped, optional
½
tsp
turmeric powder
½
tsp
red chilli powder
adjust to taste
½
tsp
ground coriander
Salt to taste
½
lemon
for juicing
Fresh coriander leaves
chopped for garnish
Instructions
Cut the boiled potatoes into cubes.
Heat the oil or ghee in a frying pan over medium heat.
Add cumin seeds (and mustard seeds if using). Let them sizzle for a few seconds until aromatic.
Add the green chilli (if using) and stir for a moment.
Add the turmeric, red chilli powder, ground coriander, and salt. Stir to combine.
Toss in the potato cubes and mix well to coat them with the spices.
Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are slightly crispy on the edges.
Squeeze over the lemon juice and garnish with fresh coriander.
Serve warm alongside your rogan josh feast.
